About Nyaito obu za Ribingu Kyatto

The TV anime adaptation of Nyaito obu za Ribingu Kyatto, a shocking “survival-nekomedy” based on the manga by Hookuman (Original Story) and Mekarutsu (Art) serialized in “Gekkan Komikku Gaaden” and the web manga site “Magkomi”, is set to air Chapter 2.

The story is set in the year 20XX, where a virus that turns humans into cats upon touch causes a worldwide “Nyandemic”. People are petted by cats and one after another, they become cats themselves. Can humanity resist the temptation to touch cats and survive in a world overrun by felines?

The TV anime is produced by OLM, known for works like Poketto Monsutaa and Samaataimu Renda, with film director Miike Takashi, acclaimed as a master of violence for films such as Kurozu ZERO and Aku no Kyouten, serving as Sou Kantoku (Chief Director). Kamiya Tomohiro, who directed MIX MEISEI STORY ~Nidome no Natsu, Sora no Mukou e~, is the Kantoku (Director). The cast features Mizunaka Masaaki as the protagonist Kunagi, alongside Ueda Reina, Kawashima Reiji, Serizawa Yuu, Kimura Subaru, Nakajima Yoshiki, Yasumoto Hiroki, Takeuchi Ryouta, and more.

Chapter 2 Synopsis

“Koyoi Nekora Hoshi o Ubau” (Tonight, the Cats Steal the Planet)

Gaku, infected with the NN virus that turns people into cats when touched, entrusts his sister to Kunagi, urging him to escape and leave him behind. The city, now in a “Nyandemic” state, overflows with adorable cats. Without time to mourn their separation from Gaku, Kunagi, Kaoru, and Tanishi search for a safe location.

The three manage to escape into a supermarket, only to find Kaoru’s classmate, Tsutsumi, already there…
