Sanrio character–themed petit cakes are arriving at Ginza Cozy Corner fresh cake shops across Japan from August 28, 2026. The lineup includes a special cake celebrating Pompompurin’s 30th anniversary, as well as a nine-piece collection of sweets inspired by popular Sanrio characters.
Pompompurin took the top spot in the 2026 Sanrio Character Award with a record 70,647,379 votes. Cinnamoroll followed in second, with Pochacco, Kuromi, and Hello Kitty rounding out the top five.
Pompompurin Pudding-Style Cake
The “Pompompurin Pudding-Style Cake” is a collaboration with Pompompurin, who celebrates his 30th anniversary in 2026. The cake is designed to look like a pudding, with Pompompurin’s face drawn in pudding-flavored cream on top.
The cake features whipped cream with fresh cream sandwiched between sponge layers, accented with rich caramel sauce. It’s a single-serving pudding-flavored cake designed to be enjoyed by both kids and adults.
Sanrio Characters Sweets Collection (9 Pieces)
Returning from last year’s popularity, the “Sanrio Characters Sweets Collection (9 pieces)” now includes Tuxedo Sam as a new addition. The collection features cakes inspired by each character, such as Hello Kitty’s cake based on “mom’s homemade apple pie” and Cinnamoroll’s yogurt-flavored roll cake.
Purchasers of the collection will receive a “Sanrio Characters Sweets News” leaflet introducing the characters and highlighting the flavors and visual details of each cake. The leaflet is available while supplies last.

Reservation Information
In-store reservations are currently being accepted (end date varies by store). Online reservations for the “Sanrio Characters Sweets Collection (9 pieces)” only are open from August 21 at 10:00 to October 10, with pickup available from August 28 to October 15. Online reservations are available at select stores only.
Note that stores in Hokkaido, Kyushu, and the prefectures of Fukui, Kyoto, Shiga, Tottori, Shimane, Yamaguchi, Ehime, and Kochi do not handle fresh cakes. Availability may vary by store.
Prices include 8% consumption tax. For eat-in, 10% tax applies. Prices are rounded up to the nearest yen, so some stores may differ.
