A Dive into Twisted-Wonderland: Premiere Details Unveiled!
Fans, get ready! It has been officially announced that Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation Season 1, “Episode of Heartslabyul,” will be exclusively distributed starting October 29, 2025 on Disney+’s official streaming service. This exciting news comes with the unveiling of the main visual for Season 1, featuring its captivating central characters.
For those new to this magical world, Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation is a dark fantasy anime inspired by the alluring villains from beloved Disney works, brought to life through a unique cast of characters. The original work, the academy adventure game Disney Twisted-Wonderland, gained immense popularity thanks to its original concept, main scenario, and character designs by the acclaimed manga artist Yana Toboso, known for her masterpiece Black Butler. The game’s one-of-a-kind blend of Disney villains and its intricately designed world set within a magic-user training school garnered significant attention. Most recently, a flurry of voice cast announcements and snippets of the opening animation have been released, building even more anticipation for the anime’s grand premiere.
This highly anticipated Season 1, “Episode of Heartslabyul,” will consist of 8 episodes, with new episodes being exclusively released every Wednesday starting October 29th.
Accompanying the premiere announcement is the stunning new payoff visual (referring to the main visual above). At the top of the visual, the striking phrase “What must be protected are the Queen of Hearts’ rules” sets the tone. This section features Riddle Rosehearts (voiced by Hanae Natsuki), the dorm leader of Heartslabyul. He is depicted revering the Queen of Hearts and diligently enforcing her laws among the dorm residents. His expression suggests a hint of frustration towards those who dare to disrupt the rules.
Beside Riddle, we see Enman Yuuken (voiced by Azagami Youhei), the high school student who mysteriously found himself lost in the world of Twisted-Wonderland. He gazes towards Riddle, his expression seemingly one of concern or worry.
The lower portion of the visual showcases a grand, crimson-carpeted staircase within the Heartslabyul Dorm. Descending these stairs are the new first-year students, Ace Trappola (voiced by Yamashita Seiichirou) and Deuce Spade (voiced by Kobayashi Chiaki). Their sharp gazes suggest a defiant attitude towards Riddle’s strictness. Meanwhile, the third-year students and senior dorm members, Vice-Dorm Leader Trey Clover (voiced by Suzuki Ryouta) and Cater Diamond (voiced by Kobayashi Tatsuya), are seen with expressions that hint at their concern for Riddle, supporting him in his heavy responsibilities. And don’t miss the mischievous monster, Grim (voiced by Sugiyama Noriaki), gleefully grinning atop the golden, shining stair railing!
