Toagosei’s instant adhesive brand Aron Alpha has released a new original anime, Tsukuno Ko 2 ~Saisecchaku~, on August 26, 2026. The sequel to last year’s Tsukuno Ko—which told a “youth idol story that sticks to dreams”—continues the “Kuttsuke Seishun Project” with a twist: the new work is intentionally made as an “animation breakdown” anime, featuring 19 deliberate drawing errors for viewers to spot.
The “Kuttsuke Seishun Project” began in 2018 as Aron Alpha’s original anime series aimed at younger audiences. The first Tsukuno Ko surpassed 12 million cumulative views and sparked major buzz on social media. In the sequel, heroine Imanao Tsukuno, after experiencing a setback following her debut, decides to re-challenge her dream of becoming an idol, carrying the belief that “even if you fail, you can just stick it back together again.”
In recent years, digital-native youth have grown up in an environment where pointing out others’ mistakes and commenting on social media is routine. With the rapid spread of AI technology, expectations for perfection have risen, making young people more cautious about creative activities and self-expression. This project was born from Aron Alpha’s desire to tell young people that “failure is a natural part of creation—so the courage to try again without fear is what matters,” and that “the chance to start over is always close by.”
To embody that message, Tsukuno Ko 2 ~Saisecchaku~ intentionally includes 19 animation errors. It’s an unprecedented attempt to reinterpret the “sakuga houkai” (animation breakdown) often seen in the anime industry in a positive light. By releasing a video with mistakes and then showing the process of fixing them, Toagosei aims to convey that “it’s okay to fail and start over” and that “failure is not something to be ashamed of, but an opportunity to grow.” Alongside the story of characters voiced by Asumi Kana, Nishiyama Koutarou, Ishii Misa, and Ogawa Hanaka, viewers are encouraged to enjoy the “animation breakdowns” as part of the experience.

Synopsis
In the previous work’s idol audition “TSUKU PROJECT,” Imanao Tsukuno won the center position. However, Haga Seyon—the mother of Haga Suyon, who was not selected in the final audition—acquires the management rights to their agency. Not only is the debut thrown into uncertainty, but Tsukuno and Ku Tsuku are forcibly removed from the group.
