Dive into the World of Kimetsu no Yaiba

Kimetsu no Yaiba (also known as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba), is an immensely popular anime series based on the manga by Gotouge Koyoharu, published by Shueisha under “Jump Comics.” With all 23 volumes released, the manga boasts an astonishing cumulative circulation of over 220 million copies, a testament to its widespread appeal. The story follows the journey of Kamado Tanjirou, a young boy whose family is tragically murdered by demons. To restore his sister Nezuko, who was transformed into a demon, back to her human form, Tanjirou bravely joins the Demon Slayer Corps (Kisatsutai), plunging himself into a perilous battle against formidable demons. The series has garnered immense popularity for its poignant narrative exploring the bonds between humans and demons, its exhilarating and intense sword fights (kengeki), its cast of captivating characters, and the delightful inclusion of occasional comedic moments that provide charming relief.

The anime adaptation, masterfully animated by ufotable, began its widespread serialization in April 2019 with Terebi Anime “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Kamado Tanjirou Risshi-hen. The latest cinematic venture, Gekijouban “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Mugenjou-hen, has been confirmed as a grand three-part film project. Its first chapter, Dai Isshou Akaza Sairai, made its highly anticipated debut on July 18th. This installment brings to life the climactic final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons, set within the demons’ formidable stronghold, the Infinity Castle (Mugenjou).
