Pom Pom Purin, the beloved Sanrio character celebrating its 30th anniversary, is teaming up with Pastel for a new collaboration. From September 1, 2026, a range of limited-edition sweets and goods will be available at Pastel stores nationwide, as well as at the upcoming Pom Pom Fest.
Pastel x Pom Pom Purin Collaboration
Pastel, founded in 1984, is known for its signature Nameraka Purin (smooth pudding), which helped spark the smooth pudding boom. This time, some items from the March 2026 collaboration are being re-released, alongside new visual sweets.
September Theme: Harapeko♪Big Dream 2
The September collaboration theme is ‘Harapeko♪Big Dream 2 (dechuu!)’. The story depicts Pom Pom Purin and his friend Muffin napping together, and in their dream, they eat lots of Pastel pudding, causing Muffin to grow big. The new visuals celebrate Muffin’s birthday on September 16.
Sweets Lineup
The lineup includes ‘Pom Pom Purin no Oekaki Purin ~Nakayoshi~’ (500 yen) and ‘Pom Pom Purin no Shiawase Tappurin a la Mode’ (880 yen). The Oekaki Purin features original pudding topped with whipped cream and a cocoa powder design of Pom Pom Purin and Muffin, with a fluffy caramel-flavored sponge inside.
The a la mode is a re-release from March, with sponge, whipped cream, smooth pudding, cherry, yellow peach, and blueberry, and the sleeve features the ‘Chimpuri’ team members.
Also returning for September only is the ‘Kamidashi Tart Pom Pom Purin no Oshiri’ (300 yen), a custard-flavored brownie tart shaped like Pom Pom Purin’s butt.
Collaboration Goods
Collaboration goods include the ‘Pom Pom Purin no Sweets Pack (with 2 acrylic clips)’ (2,200 yen) and ‘Pom Pom Purin no Yaki Gashi 3-ko Set’ (700 yen).
The ‘Pom Pom Purin no Sakusaku Rusk ~Pudding Flavor~’ (1 piece 162 yen, 12 pieces 1,944 yen) also returns, with a random original sticker from 8 types included.
Additional items include the ‘Pom Pom Purin no Marutto Otanoshimi Pack’ (4,500 yen) and ‘Pom Pom Purin no Yaki Gashi Bag (with random eco bag)’ (1,800 yen).
Mochimochi Cushion
A ‘Pom Pom Purin no Mochimochi Cushion’ will also be available from September 1 to September 30, 2026, exclusively at the official online store ‘All Hearts Mall’. Measuring approximately 300 x 315 x 80mm, it features a soft, squishy texture and different designs on each side, with Pom Pom Purin peeking from the back.
Pom Pom Fest
On September 12 and 13, 2026, Pastel will have a booth at Pom Pom Fest at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, offering new face-motif pudding, illustration pudding, rusk, and some baked goods.
This September-only collaboration offers a chance to celebrate Pom Pom Purin and Muffin’s birthdays with a sweet twist.
