The announcement, made via the magazine’s official X account, has sent fans into a frenzy, and voice actor Suwabe Junichi has also weighed in with a playful comment.

Set for release on October 7, 2026, the special edition of anan (No. 2514) showcases Atobe Keigo from the anime Shin Tennis no Oujisama. The official X post teased that the character, known for his regal demeanor, would “turn the anan cover into the Atobe Kingdom” in his black suit. The issue also features Echizen Ryoma, Fuji Syusuke, and Oshitari Yuushi, along with exclusive interviews with their voice actors: Minagawa Junko, Kaida Yuki, Suwabe Junichi, and Kiuchi Hidenobu.

The original Tennis no Oujisama manga by Konomi Takeshi began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, with the TV anime premiering in 2001. The latest installment, Shin Tennis no Oujisama U-17 WORLD CUP Kesshou Member Ketteisen, is set to air on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, and TV Aichi starting September 30, 2026. In this arc, the Japanese team, having defeated Germany to reach the finals, must now select its lineup for the championship match against Spain.
