The official website for the television anime adaptation of Katayama Ayaka‘s manga Kin to Tetsu (Fungus and Iron) has revealed the lead staff and a second teaser visual.

Motonaga Keitarou, known for Hametsu no Oukoku and Saikyou no Ousama, Nidome no Jinsei wa Nani wo Suru?, is directing the series at Yokohama Animation Lab.
Katayama began serializing the dystopian sci-fi suspense manga in Bessatsu Shounen Magazine in March 2021. The series will conclude in the magazine’s October issue, set for release on September 9. Kodansha published the ninth volume on April 9, with the tenth and final volume scheduled for October 8.
Kodansha USA licensed the manga for digital release in English in January 2022 and published the eighth e-book volume on February 24.
Katayama made her debut in 2007 after her one-shot Oni Oi no Kawa was selected for the 78th Shounen Magazine Newcomer Manga Awards. The following year, she won the Grand Prize at Shueisha’s inaugural Golden Tiara Award for her sci-fi romcom manga Star Man.
