About DANDADAN
DANDADAN is an exhilarating occult battle and coming-of-age story based on the manga by Ryuu Yukinobu, serialized in Shueisha’s “Shounen Jump+” manga app, boasting over 10 million copies in circulation. The captivating plot follows high school girl Momo, born into a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an ardent occult enthusiast. Their lives take an extraordinary turn when they encounter overwhelming, supernatural phenomena beyond human comprehension. Gaining hidden powers and cursed abilities, they confront these strange occurrences head-on, all while becoming entangled in a fated romance.
The TV anime adaptation, which sees Wakayama Shion voicing Ayase Momo (affectionately known as Momo) and Hanae Natsuki lending his distinct voice to Takakura Ken (or Okarun), garnered immense popularity during its first season, broadcast from October to December 2024. For the highly anticipated second season, Yamashiro Fuuga will co-direct alongside Abel Gongora, with animation production once again handled by the renowned Science SARU studio.
