To celebrate the streaming release of the theatrical film Chainsaw Man – Reze Arc, a special collaboration bread lineup has been created with 11 popular bakeries across Japan. Available from September 19 through October 18, 2026, the “Chainsaw Bread” offerings will be sold at each participating store and via the bakery reservation service sacri.
Chainsaw Man is a dark hero action manga by Fujimoto Tatsuki that originally ran in Weekly Shonen Jump and is now serialized in Shonen Jump+ for its second part. The story follows Denji, a young man who contracts with the Chainsaw Devil Pochita to repay his deceased father’s debts and becomes a devil hunter. After a certain incident, Denji gains the devil’s heart and transforms into Chainsaw Man. The TV anime aired in October 2022, and the film version of the Reze Arc, which continues from the final episode of the TV series, opened in theaters on September 19, 2025. In the film, Denji is thrown into unpredictable fate after he meets a girl named Reze during a date with his idol Makima.
Collaboration Breads from 11 Bakeries
Chefs from each bakery have designed original breads inspired by the world of the Reze Arc, with each creation reflecting the chef’s unique interpretation in taste, appearance, and naming.
OLO PAN TOKYO (Tokyo, Ikejiri Ohashi)
“Dark Diving” expresses both Reze’s “bomb” persona and the fleeting summer moments she shared with Denji. Ganache and raspberry jam represent the explosion, while the kick of hua jiao (Sichuan pepper) adds a sharp thrill. Sour-sweet raspberry and cassis, along with black cacao, evoke the sea and night sky, while cardamom and cacao nibs suggest a starry night.

“The Scent of Mystery” captures Makima’s refined, elegant impression and her inscrutable, enigmatic side. This Danish features a pear-forward sophistication, balanced with banana and ginger caramelized for a crunchy, strong accent. A grass arrow decoration echoes the red of her hair.

MAISON KUROSU (Tokyo, Gakugei Daigaku)
“Waen” is a Japanese-style bread made with Okinawan pesticide-free mugwort dough, topped with organic kinako, black sesame, and bamboo charcoal cream. The dough pattern imitates the cut marks from Aki’s sword, while the cream evokes smoke, and a touch of gold powder adorns the surface.

“Hakunan” uses a soft, moist “cloud” dough, filled with whipped cream and a high-grade white bean paste made from white kidney beans. It offers a gently sweet flavor.

NEW NEWYORK BAGEL (Tokyo, Azabu Juban)
“Blood Fiend Power Bagel” depicts Power’s cuteness in a heart shape, with her signature red horns also formed from the bagel dough. The filling is a cream cheese and blueberry blend.

“Chainsaw Devil Bagel” uses Chainsaw Man’s image colors—orange, black, and red—in a colorful bagel. The outer edge is shaped with zigzag notches reminiscent of a chainsaw, with chocolate inside and black cocoa powder worked into the dough.

Himmel (Tokyo, Oookayama)
“Devil Heart Bread” uses black cocoa dough to represent the devil’s body, with a strawberry filling that evokes fresh blood and melted marshmallow inside. When broken open, the red filling overflows, creating a dramatic effect like a beating heart.

SONG BIRD BAKERY (Tokyo, Kamata)
“Bomb” is a cute, round bread. A single white flower from the story is depicted with white powdered sugar. Taking a bite releases a dark rum-laced chocolate custard and whipped cream.

boulangerie onni (Kanagawa)
“Chainsaw Bread” is a semi-hard bread and baked cheese in the shape of a saw, with roast beef and ketchup that evoke blood sandwiched inside. “Power’s Fougasse,” based on the concept of “rough, strong, and delicious,” is slathered with garlic butter immediately after baking, resulting in a rugged and powerful bread.
Monmaro (Yamanashi)
“Fascinating Summer Night Bagel” is inspired by the sweet but ephemeral summer nights Denji spent with Reze. The surface is coated with gentle white chocolate, and a sweet-tart raspberry and grape sauce reflects Reze’s charming and kind café worker appearance as well as the danger hidden behind it.

Inside, it holds a fromage filling with a subtle cardamom aroma. As you eat, the sweet-sour taste and deep fragrance spread, leaving an unforgettable aftertaste.
“Dream Glutton Manul Bread” brings to life Denji’s happiness of “eating whatever I like to my heart’s content.” Orange cheddar cheese represents Denji’s hair, his boldness, and his energetic spirit. It is generously topped with garlic butter, potato salad, and chorizo sausage.

Pain de Merceau (Niigata)
“Pain au Bombe” looks like a rose at first glance, but inside is a rich chocolate filling—a bomb-shaped bread. The dough is infused with rose paste and rose petals, wrapped around a rich mixture of chocolate, raisins, orange peel, and cherry.

“Angel’s Pudding Bread” wraps crème brûlée (symbolizing fragility) in brioche dough, with fresh cream (airy) injected inside—a stark contrast to the Pain au Bombe.

Hirami Pan (Ishikawa)
“Spicy Zigzag Melon Bread” is shaped like the blade of a chainsaw. Brioche dough wraps a curry filling and dried tomatoes, and is further covered with a sweet-spicy curry-flavored melon crust, with many zigzag notches expressing the chainsaw.

Mori no Panya (Tochigi)
“Boys Be Ambitious” is inspired by the candy apple from the festival that Denji and Reze visited together. Danish dough with almond cream, honey butter, and apple is rolled and finished as a caramelized quignon aman. It comes with a tube of raspberry sauce to be squeezed on while eating.

Beckfan (Shizuoka)
“Chainsaw Bread” is a Danish dough shaped like a chainsaw, filled with both chocolate and sweet bean paste to match Denji’s greedy personality. A raspberry jam accent is inspired by Denji’s wish to spread jam on a slice of bread.

“Blood Sausage Dog” is based on the character who freely manipulates blood, featuring boudin noir (blood sausage) as the centerpiece. The dog bun is made with cacao to complement the sausage, accompanied by a potato salad with fresh rosemary and apple jam, a classic pairing with boudin noir. A chili pepper is added on top to represent the character’s horns.
