The first-ever original art exhibition dedicated to Yu-Gi-Oh! creator Kazuki Takahashi is set to open at CREATIVE MUSEUM TOKYO from December 12, 2026 to February 21, 2027. Alongside the announcement, the lottery application for tickets covering the December portion of the run has officially begun, and a special animation plus additional exclusive merchandise have been unveiled.
Exhibition Highlights
Kazuki Takahashi has left an indelible mark on manga and pop culture as a manga artist, illustrator, designer, and game creator. This exhibition, titled Kazuki Takahashi Original Art Exhibition YU-GI-OH! ART WORKS, presents his creative output and passion across five chapters, guiding visitors on a journey through the world of Yu-Gi-Oh! and Takahashi’s expressive universe.
More than 370 original manuscripts, color illustrations from both during and after the serialization, reference materials, and never-before-seen rough sketches from the creative process will be on display. The exhibition centers on the enduring appeal of Yu-Gi-Oh!, which has expanded into TV anime, official card games, and beyond, while also tracing the origins and underlying intentions of his storytelling.
Special Animation Features a Domino City Reunion
To commemorate the exhibition, a special animation has been released by the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series production committee. The short film depicts Yugi and his friends gathering once again in Domino City, the iconic setting of the series.
Additional Exhibition Goods Revealed
The lineup of original merchandise available at the exhibition keeps growing. Highlights include a rotating acrylic stand featuring Mutou Yuugi and Yami Yuugi, an eco-bag with pouch designed after the Millennium Puzzle, a travel sticker set, and a mosaic art puzzle. These items are sure to delight long-time fans of the franchise.
Ticket Lottery Open for December
The lottery sales period for the December 2026 (first half) tickets runs until September 27, 23:59. All entries require a specified date and time. There are no plans for a touring exhibition, so this Tokyo venue will be the only chance to experience it.
