At the Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair 2026, the stage event for the upcoming television anime adaptation of CLAMP’s Magic Knight Rayearth revealed new cast members, the theme song performers, and a second promotional video on Sunday. The series is scheduled to premiere on October 7 at 11:45 p.m. in the “IMAnimation W” block on TV Asahi.

Theme Songs
Singer-songwriter Toaka performs the opening theme “Otome no Tsurugi,” while Kawaguchi Yurina sings the ending theme “Hoshiakari.” Both songs are featured in the new promotional video.
Staff
Umemoto Yui is directing the series at E&H Production, with Sano Takayuki serving as assistant director. Murakoshi Shigeru is handling series composition, and Watanabe Satomi is designing the characters. The music is composed by Kajiura Yuki, Ozawa Takumi, and Terada Shiho.
Manga Background
CLAMP serialized the original manga in Nakayoshi magazine from November 1993 to February 1995. A sequel manga ran from the same month until March 1996. Both titles were previously licensed by Tokyopop in 1997, then Dark Horse Comics in 2009, and most recently Kodansha USA in 2019 with two hard-cover box sets.
