The manga exhibition Oshi no Ko – Hoshi no Kiseki will be held in Kagoshima from November 7, 2026, at Kakuix Exchange Center (Kagoshima Prefectural Exchange Center) on the 6th floor. This marks the exhibition’s first visit to the Kyushu region.
Based on the manga by Akasaka Aka (original story) and Yokoyari Mengo (art), Oshi no Ko centers on idol Ai Hoshino, the mysteries behind her sudden death, and the revenge of Aqua, the boy reincarnated as her son, alongside his sister Ruby. The series has sold over 25 million copies worldwide, and its anime adaptation aired its first season in April 2023 and second in July 2024. Its fresh take on the entertainment world and shocking twists have sparked major social media buzz, leading to stage and live-action adaptations.
The exhibition, previously held in Tokyo from July 22 to August 11, 2026, now heads to Kagoshima. It offers an immersive space where visitors can revisit key scenes and the story through illustration displays, with comments from Akasaka and Yokoyari revealing the behind-the-scenes of the work.
The key visual features a newly drawn illustration of Hoshino Ai by Yokoyari. The catchphrase “Even so, I’m really glad I got to meet her───” captures protagonist Aqua Hoshino’s gaze and the feelings of readers, drawing visitors into the world of the manga.
The exhibition includes areas such as “Childhood,” a happy space with Ai, Aqua, and Ruby together as a family; “Entertainment World,” focusing on Aqua and Ruby’s rise in show business; “Two’s Resolve,” leading to the story’s climax; and an “Illustration Gallery” featuring color illustrations by Yokoyari.
Through impressive space design, the exhibition expresses the work’s dual aspects of an idol’s light and the reality of the entertainment industry, as well as the revenge drama. A special huge photo spot using an exclusive newly drawn illustration is a must-see for fans.
As a visitor gift, one of six “SPECIAL VIP PASS-style stickers” will be distributed at random. The stickers feature signed designs of B-Komachi Ai, Hoshino Aqua, Hoshino Ruby, Arima Kana, MEM cho, and Kurokawa Akane.
Goods-included tickets come with a “phone tab with strap” that uses the newly drawn key visual illustration by Yokoyari. The tab has a sparkling aurora finish and can be attached to a smartphone for carry-along convenience.
Event Details
The exhibition will run from November 7, 2026, to January 11, 2027. Closed every Monday, except for November 23, 2026, and January 11, 2027 (Monday holidays) which will be open. Closed on November 24, 2026, and from December 29, 2026, to January 3, 2027. Opening hours are 10:00–18:00, with last entry 30 minutes before closing.
