Sanrio’s Pompompurin and conveyor-belt sushi chain Sushiro are launching their first collaboration, with the campaign set to begin on October 7, 2026 at Sushiro locations across Japan. The collaboration will feature a large lineup of goods, plus a pudding-flavored menu item called Mazemaze! Purinppe, inspired by Pompompurin’s favorite food.
“Sushiro de Pomuro” Runs in Two Waves
The collaboration theme is “Sushiro de Pomuro.” Pompompurin is celebrating the 30th anniversary of his debut this year and took first place in the 2026 Sanrio Character Awards. The Sushiro campaign will be divided into a first wave starting October 7 and a second wave starting October 21, offering a wide range of collaboration goods.
Fans can look forward to sushi and sweets decorated with Pompompurin picks and stickers, created specifically for the Sushiro collaboration.
First Wave Menu
In the first wave, the collaboration pick sushi lineup includes Ebi Ebi Salad and Hamburger Nigiri. A Tiramisu Cake with a hologram collaboration sticker will also be available.
Second Wave Menu
The second wave adds Ikura Tsutsumi and Teritama Gunkan as collaboration pick sushi, along with Purin A La Mode, which comes with a hologram collaboration sticker. The second wave’s collaboration picks are shown in all seven varieties.
The second wave’s collaboration stickers come in all five types.
Mazemaze! Purinppe Arrives
The campaign also introduces Mazemaze! Purinppe, a pudding-flavored item made with Pompompurin’s favorite food. It was developed by a pastry chef from SUSHIRO Cafe and comes with one type of collaboration kirakira sticker.
Mascots, Tsukuro Set, and Campaign Extras
Additional offerings include soft drinks with collaboration mascots. The first wave’s collaboration mascots are available in four types: three regular designs and one secret design. There is also a Tsukuro Set that comes with a Pompompurin collaboration mini charm and lets fans enjoy collaboration sheet designs.
An app campaign offers a chance at original goods. A Pompompurin original-design blanket is also featured. On the large touch display Dejiro, visitors can also choose a Pompompurin Mode.
