Mahou Kishi Rayearth Reprint Serialization Begins in Nakayoshi November Issue

The Nakayoshi November issue went on sale in Japan on Friday, October 2, 2026, and it arrives packed with a returning classic, two new serializations, four one-shots, and a themed furoku.

Mahou Kishi Rayearth Returns as a Reprint Serialization

Leading the lineup is a reprint serialization of CLAMP’s Mahou Kishi Rayearth, launched to mark the upcoming TV anime. CLAMP, the creative group behind the title, debuted in 1989 with Seiden RG VEDA and has since produced X, Cardcaptor Sakura, Chobits, and xxxHOLiC, continually leading the times across shoujo, shounen, and seinen magazines.

The story begins with three second-year middle school students who meet during a social studies field trip to Tokyo Tower: Shidou Hikaru, Ryuuzaki Umi, and Hououji Fuu. A girl suddenly appears before them in a dazzling light and invites them into Cephiro, another world where the power of will decides everything.

The TV anime is scheduled to air from Wednesday, October 7, 2026, on TV Asahi’s nationwide network “IMAnimation W” slot.

To commemorate the anime, all six volumes are being reprinted with limited-period specifications that revive the legendary original tankoubon covers, complete with full obi. The two-volume Fukkoku-ban Mahou Kishi Rayearth Gengashuu (reprint edition original art collection) is also on sale.

Mahou Renshuusei Riri Raspberry Takes the Cover

Touyama Ema’s classic magical story Mahou Renshuusei Riri Raspberry appears on the cover and in the lead color pages. Lili has a fateful encounter with a pendant, a magical tool for transformation. She is overjoyed, but the midterm exams look set to bring trouble. The latest collected volume, volume 2, is scheduled for release on Friday, November 13.

The issue’s furoku is a set of stylish and cute “Mahoriri★Make Palette-style sticky notes” featuring Lili as a motif. Available in four glitter-patterned designs, they are also a good fit for attaching to gifts.

New Serialization: Lunatica Blue no Kimi ni Sasagu Mahou

Asanagi Sae launches Lunatica Blue no Kimi ni Sasagu Mahou, the author’s first serialization in full-scale fantasy. Juri has a strange constitution: looking at the moon turns her into a witch, while bathing in sunlight turns her back into a boy. She is keeping the secret even from her best friend Luka — can she keep it up? The series focuses on a new kind of love born as a boy and a girl transform into one another.

Four One-Shots, Including a Two-Part Horror Special

The issue carries four one-shot stories. Hiiragi Aki’s Lily Sacrament: Kishi no Shoujo to, Shimai no Seiyaku follows sisters who face a crisis threatening the world. Hiiragi debuted in 2022 in Bessatsu Friend with Sono Wana de Koi ni Ochiru, credited as Yuuki Iroha, a pen name used for a joint work with Chitose Goma.

Also featured is Katsu no wa Watashi! from Satsuki Kou, a super rookie who debuted after taking an honorable mention in the 81st Nakayoshi Newcomer Manga Grand Prize. The story centers on Mitsuki and Mitsuki — two characters who share a name but are polar opposites. “I don’t want to lose, at least not to you!” How will their contest end?

The Nakayoshi Horror Special delivers two stories: Uchida Kirin’s Kyuuso, Ten wo Kamu and Nakaba Satoru’s Norowareta Kadan. With two different kinds of fear on offer, the long autumn nights promise plenty of chills.

Next issue’s must-read stories are, as always, in Nakayoshi — and the reprint serialization of Mahou Kishi Rayearth is one not to miss alongside the TV anime broadcast.
