The fall 2026 anime Doumo, Suki na Hito ni Horegusuri o Irai Sareta Majo desu. — known as Hore Majo — has released the synopsis and advance scene cuts for its first episode, Majo to Shitsuren no Horegusuri. The episode is set to begin airing on Monday, October 5, 2026.

Key Visual and Story Introduction
Hore Majo is based on Mutsubana Eiko’s novel published by Futabasha under the M Novels f imprint. It is a fantasy story about a slightly awkward and bittersweet love story that begins with heartbreak. A manga adaptation by Kamata is also being published on KADOKAWA’s FLOS COMIC, and the series has surpassed 1 million copies in cumulative circulation.

The TV anime is directed by Kusakawa Keizou, with animation production by Diomedéa. The cast includes Komatsu Mikako as Roze, Azakami Youhei as Hariju, Shimono Hiro as Tien, and Sekine Akira as Birraura.
The story follows Roze, a witch who lives in a lake. She secretly has feelings for the knight Hariju. One day, he tells her, ‘I want you to make a love potion.’ The person he has in mind, however, is someone other than Roze. Faced with that reality, Roze experiences heartbreak.
Even so, she cannot refuse his request. Roze decides that even if only until the love potion is completed, she wants to stay by his side, and she continues her days with painful feelings in her heart. Though she knows her love cannot come true, her feelings will not disappear. The series follows the bittersweet romance spun from the love potion between an awkward shut-in witch and a caretaking, earnest knight.
