The fall anime Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita II has released the synopsis and advance scene cuts for its first episode, ‘Sora ni Ukanderu no wa Shima deshita’ (‘What Was Floating in the Sky Was an Island’). The episode begins airing on October 7, 2026.
The first key visual for the season has also been revealed.
Based on Tanaka Yuu’s light novel series published by Micro Magazine under the GC Novels label, Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita is an inorganic reincarnation fantasy that has surpassed 4 million copies in circulation. The first season aired from October to December 2022, and Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita II is its second season. Ishihira Shinji directs, with C2C handling animation production.
The cast includes Miki Shinichirou as Master, Kakuma Ai as Fran, Gotou Hiroki as Urushi, Uchida Yuuma as Jean Dube, Izawa Shiori as Nameless, and Hayami Shou as Lich.
Story
Fran, a black cat tribe girl who was oppressed as a slave known as ‘Nameless,’ meets Master, a sword that is an ‘Intelligence Weapon,’ and becomes its wielder. After joining the adventurer guild in the fortress city Alessa, she completes numerous quests and builds her reputation as an adventurer. Fran aims for ‘Evolution’ at the end of strength, and Master, wanting to grant her ‘wish,’ sets their next destination as the port town Dars.
On the way, Master and Fran discover a floating island in the sky and meet Jean Dube, a necromancer aiming to fully conquer it. At his request, they take on the floating island’s dungeon together, but it turns out to be a vicious dungeon crawling with undead. With that, the new adventure of the cat-eared girl and the doting sword begins.

Master and Fran, aiming for the port town Dars, approach a floating island they discovered along the way.
However, they are intercepted by a skeleton knight and crash.
At the place where they fall, they meet the necromancer Jean Dube.
