The fifth theatrical admission bonus for Chou Kaguya-hime! has been announced: the “ray Chou Kaguya-hime! Version” Scene Photo Postcard Vol. 1, a set of six random designs, will be distributed from October 16 to October 22.

Fifth Bonus Brings ray MV Art to Theaters
Chou Kaguya-hime! is an original feature-length anime that has been streaming on Netflix since January 22, 2026. It follows high school student Sakayori Iroha, who meets a mysterious girl named Kaguya and becomes active in the virtual space Tsukuyomi.
The theatrical release began on February 20 and ran until its final screening on June 18, drawing 1.34 million admissions and surpassing 2.7 billion yen at the box office. A revival screening with a special format started on September 18; during that period, box office revenue reached about 600 million yen, pushing cumulative box office past 3.3 billion yen.

The fifth bonus uses illustrations from the music video for the ending theme “ray Chou Kaguya-hime! Version.” Six of the twelve illustrations are included, depicting the days Kaguya and Iroha spent together in a pale touch.

Director Yamashita Seigo handled direction for the MV himself. The video is composed of childhood scenes and an epilogue that were not shown in the main story, and its views have surpassed 26 million. Fans had asked for the MV illustrations to be made into goods, making this a long-awaited bonus. Vol. 2 will be distributed from October 23.

Story
The story is set in Tsukuyomi, a virtual space where dreams and hope gather. The stage opens for the girls’ meeting and parting.
In a future slightly ahead of the present, 17-year-old high school student Sakayori Iroha attends a prestigious school in Tokyo while balancing part-time work and studies. Her daily comfort is watching streams by Tsukimi Yachiyo, the manager of Tsukuyomi and a popular liver (streamer). In Tsukuyomi, where anyone can create an avatar and freely engage in creative activities, Iroha supports Yachiyo and earns a little spending money through battle games.
One day on her way home, Iroha finds a gaming utility pole shining in seven colors. A cute baby emerges from it. Unable to leave the baby alone, she takes it home, and the baby quickly grows into a girl about her age. “Are you perhaps Kaguya-hime?”
The grown Kaguya is selfish. At Kaguya’s request, Iroha helps with her liver activities in Tsukuyomi. As Iroha produces music as a producer and Kaguya sings as a liver, the two gradually open up to each other. All the while, an ominous shadow that will take Kaguya back to the moon draws closer.
This is the story of a Kaguya-hime that no one has seen before.
