Universal Studios Japan will hold its winter seasonal event, ‘Universal Holiday Wonders ~Discover U!!!~,’ from November 13, 2026, to January 17, 2027. The event is billed as a special holiday that brings family and friends closer and closes out the year on a joyful note. It will feature popular characters including Snoopy, Hello Kitty, Elmo, the Minions, Mario and his friends, as well as holiday food inspired by Harry Potter.
Universal Food Festival Expands Across the Park
This winter’s Universal Food Festival will expand to all areas of the park. Restaurants and food carts dressed in holiday decor will offer the largest lineup of holiday gourmet items yet, aiming to satisfy both appetite and spirit.
Studio Stars Restaurant Welcomes Holiday Elmo
At Studio Stars Restaurant, Elmo and friends will appear in holiday costumes during the event period. Alongside holiday-limited food, guests can share smiles with family and loved ones and enjoy a moment that brings them closer together. The restaurant offers cute menu items inspired by park characters, including Snoopy’s ‘Mushroom Cream Sauce Meatball Plate,’ Hello Kitty’s ‘Truffle-scented Chicken Pie-Wrapped Plate,’ and Elmo’s ‘Present Box ~Apricot & Brownie~.’
Minion-Themed Holiday Bites
Holiday food with the Minions can also be enjoyed by the whole family. At Happiness Cafe, guests can try ‘Bob’s Holiday Pizza Chicken Plate,’ a surprising dish of fried chicken made to look like pizza. At Warf Cafe, Bob & Tim appear on the cute ‘Bob’s Holiday White Chocolate Drink.’
Super Nintendo World and Hollywood Area Treats
In Super Nintendo World, holiday snacking includes the playful hot sweet ‘Red Shell’s Calzone ~Berry & Chocolate~,’ a calzone shaped after the Red Shell item from the games. In the Hollywood area, Mario Cafe & Store will offer ‘Power Up! Super Star Popcorn Milk Tea,’ topped with a Star Cookie. The lightly sweet milk tea contains popcorn and is designed to power up the holiday mood.
Harry Potter Holiday Feast at the Wizarding World
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, currently hosting an anniversary event celebrating the 25th anniversary of the film ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,’ will also offer magical holiday-only dishes. The ‘Holiday Feast,’ a luxurious large platter meant to be shared by the family, features a hearty whole roast chicken with traditional British gravy and cranberry sauce.
