The TV anime adaptation of ippatu’s Toratsugumi -TSUGUMI PROJECT- has announced its first batch of cast information. Mizunaka Masaaki will play Leone, Watada Misaki will play Tsugumi, and Ishitani Haruki will play Doudou. A first voice comic video has also been released, giving fans an early chance to hear the characters.
From Young Magazine to the Screen
Toratsugumi -TSUGUMI PROJECT- is based on ippatu’s manga, which found an early hit in France before being serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine. It is described as a full-scale spectacle apocalypse story.
The story takes place far in the future. In an ‘Old Japan’ under high radiation, bizarre creatures run rampant, and the land has become a ‘demon realm’ where people have not lived for a long time. Leone, a former soldier, is separated from his wife and child after being falsely accused and becomes a death-row prisoner. In this place, he is ordered on a top-secret mission with the condition of ‘success or death.’ There, Leone encounters a girl, giant beasts, and many other strange beings.
The TV anime adaptation was announced in July, and follow-up news has been eagerly awaited. The newly revealed cast places Mizunaka Masaaki as Leone, the former soldier and death-row protagonist; Watada Misaki as Tsugumi, a strange creature with an adorable appearance and abnormal strength; and Ishitani Haruki as Doudou, a former underground fighting champion who acts alongside Leone.

First Voice Comic Video Debuts
