The four-panel manga Nurumeta is officially getting a TV anime adaptation, with broadcast planned for 2027. Igarashi Kai, known for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, will direct the series, and Sowane will handle animation production. A teaser visual has also been unveiled.
Nurumeta is written by Kokamumo and is currently serialized in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara MAX. The story centers on Kurumi, an android; Chiaki, her guardian; the cool and my-pace Sakina; and Shiyuki, the group’s only sensible person (?), as the four lead an unpredictable everyday life. The work has been called an “alternative everyday-life” series that pushes far beyond the usual boundaries of the daily-life genre.
Staff and production
The anime marks Igarashi Kai’s first time directing a TV anime. Sowane, which has worked on mono and Kamiina Botan, Yoeru Sugata wa Yuri no Hana, is producing the animation. Ogasawara Makoto, who worked on the Pokémon Sword & Shield original anime Hakumei no Tsubasa, is designing the characters, while Takahashi Tatsuya of Idolmaster Cinderella Girls is handling series composition.
