Moomin Capsule Toy Collection: Retro-Cute Drawstring Bags and Pouches Launch Late October 2026

Moomin and friends are starring in a new capsule toy collection of drawstring bags and pouches, combining retro-cute character art with practical features. The lineup is set to appear sequentially at capsule toy corners nationwide from late October 2026, with each play priced at ¥500.

Moomin characters with a retro-cute look

Moomin was created by Tove Jansson, the Finnish author, painter, and artist. The stories of Moomintroll and his companions have been translated and published in more than 50 countries, and goods, spots, and animation based on the original novels, comics, and picture books are loved not only in Finland but also in Japan and many other countries.

The capsule toy lineup features characters from the Moomin novels in a cute assortment of drawstring bags and pouches.

Gusseted Satin Drawstring Bag

The gusseted satin drawstring bag features Little My and Ninni. Its smooth satin-like fabric and ribbon give it an elegant, cute finish.

Half-Moon Pouch

The half-moon pouch features Joxter and has a convenient wide-opening design. Art of Snufkin and Joxter together is also printed on the back.

Square Pouch

The square pouch stars the Ancestor, whose mysterious and adorable figure is printed on both the front and back.

BIG Drawstring Bag

The BIG drawstring bag measures 260mm in width and has a bottom gusset. Its large size can even hold a bento box.

Lidded Pouches

The two lidded pouch designs, including an all-over-pattern version, bring together the friends of Moomin Valley. Both have bottom gussets for excellent storage capacity.
