The TV anime Kusuriya no Hitorigoto collaboration event Mai ga Orinasu Gensou no Sekai — Tenkuu ni Hibiku, Mai no Shirabe (舞が織りなす幻想の世界 ―天空に響く、舞のしらべ―) is running at Tokyo City View through October 26, 2026. New goods arrived in October, and an official X photo contest for handwritten autographed posters is also underway. With the closing date approaching, the event still offers plenty to see.

A series-first dance and night-sky collaboration
Kusuriya no Hitorigoto is a mystery-solving entertainment series based on the light novel by Hinata Natsu, published by Imagica Infos under its Hero Bunko label. The series has surpassed 57 million copies in cumulative worldwide circulation. Set in the rear palace, the story follows Maomao, a poison taster who solves a range of difficult cases. Its brisk heroine, full-fledged mysteries, and human drama set in an exotic world have resonated widely, earning fans across generations in Japan and abroad.
The TV anime aired its first season from October 2023 to March 2024 and its second from January to July 2025; the third season is currently airing after starting in October. On December 11, the series’ first theatrical film, Gekijouban Kusuriya no Hitorigoto: Bouhi no Hihou, will open. It features a completely new story conceived by original author Hinata Natsu and centers on a new mystery involving a hidden treasure in a water city.
The Tokyo City View event opened on August 1 as the first collaboration between the TV anime and the venue. Under the series-first theme of “dance” and the “night sky,” the exhibition focuses on memorable dance scenes involving Maomao, Jinshi, and Rouran. The 250-meter-high view of Tokyo is combined with video, music, and the work’s worldview, allowing visitors to experience the fantastical scenes woven by the characters.
New original goods join the venue shop
The special shop inside the venue began offering new original goods on October 10. The lineup uses deformed illustrations drawn for the event, including an acrylic block, a can badge collection with six random designs, and a sticker collection.

Also available are an A5 clear file set and an acrylic muddler set that lets fans enjoy two different Maomao expressions.

Visitors can look for favorites and take home a memory of the event.

Photo contest offers signed posters and clear bookmarks

On official X (formerly Twitter), a photo contest is running for a chance to win handwritten autographed posters and other prizes. The contest asks for a photo that captures the visitor’s own view of the event, whether it is the space where Tokyo City View’s scenery meets the work’s world or a favorite exhibit or photo spot.

To enter, follow the official X account @kusuriya_tcv, quote-repost the campaign post, and post a photo taken at the event. Two Excellent Prize winners will receive handwritten autographed event posters prepared for the contest: one signed by Yuki Aoi, the voice of Maomao, and one by Ootsuka Takeo, the voice of Jinshi. Winners cannot choose which cast member’s signature they receive. Five additional prize winners will get the “Yozora no Mai” clear bookmark complete set, which includes all three types; the clear bookmarks are normally a bonus included with the limited-quantity ticket with bonus.

The application period runs from September 9, 2026 at 13:00 to October 26, 2026 at 23:59. Tripods are not allowed inside the venue.

Visitors relive the story high above Tokyo

With the third season now airing, Kusuriya no Hitorigoto continues to build momentum. At the event, visitors can look back on the story through memorable scenes involving Maomao, Jinshi, and Rouran while enjoying the world of the work again. Some visitors study the exhibits and relive the narrative, while others take photos with favorite characters. Repeat visitors have also been seen, and each visit can bring new discoveries.

The event runs through October 26. Fans can enjoy the world of Kusuriya no Hitorigoto together with views unique to Tokyo City View.
