The story unfolds in a tense era where nations worldwide are locked in a fierce, clandestine information war, with Ostania (East) and Westalis (West) trapped in a cold war that has lasted over a decade. At its heart is the extraordinary Forger family, secretly formed by the legendary master spy known as “Twilight,” who expertly poses as the psychiatrist Loid. His “daughter,” Anya, is, in fact, a powerful esper with the ability to read minds, and his “wife,” Yor, is actually a formidable assassin. Later, their family expands to include Bond, a majestic guardian dog possessing the unique ability to foresee the future.
