Celebrating Dragon Quest Day with a Fan Survey

May 27th is “Dragon Quest Day.” This special day commemorates the release of the game Dragon Quest on the same date in 1986.

Naturally, there are countless dragon-related characters in the world of anime as well. These magnificent beings are depicted in all sorts of ways, whether they’re boasting immense power as the strongest creatures, being hunted as prey by skilled hunters, holding ancient and lost knowledge, or possessing the ability to transform into humans… Their portrayals vary greatly depending on the series they appear in.

To celebrate, Anime! Anime! is once again conducting a reader survey titled “Speaking of ‘Dragon’ Characters?”, following up on last year’s popular survey. This is a free-response survey, so please tell us which character and title you think fit the theme!

※ The survey targets characters appearing in 2D content such as anime works (TV broadcasts, movies, streaming, OVA, etc.), games, CD series, and manga.

※ Please limit your responses to one per person.

Basic information like gender and age are optional items, and you are welcome to participate without providing them. Please feel free to join in!

The deadline is May 22nd. The survey results will be published as soon as they are compiled. Please look forward to it!
