From Pages to Screens: The Journey of the Original Work
The captivating story of Mata Korosarete Shimatta no desu ne, Tantei-sama (also known as Killed Again, Mr. Detective.) originated as a light novel series penned by Teniwoha, with charming illustrations by Riichu, who is also known for their work on Hikikomari Kyuuketsuki no Monmon. The series began its publication under the MF Bunko J imprint in August 2021. Kadokawa released the fifth volume on March 25, and fans can look forward to the sixth volume hitting shelves on November 25.
Before its anime debut, the series also saw a manga adaptation, illustrated by Inaba. This manga was serialized digitally on Dra-Dra Flat♭ from July 2022 to March 2024, with Kadokawa publishing its second and final volume in March 2024. For our English-speaking audience, Yen Press licensed the manga in February, releasing the first volume on August 26, with the second volume slated for a January 20, 2026 release.
