A Surprising Appearance in the Special Ending!
In Episode 6, titled “Omotenashi ni wa ura mo nashi” (There’s no裏 to hospitality), a fearsome alien named Harumage (voiced by Yamaji Kazuhiro) visited the hotel “Gingarou.” Following earnest hospitality from the hotelier robot Yachiyo (voiced by Shirasuna Saho), Harumage eventually checked out of the hotel. As the scene of Harumage’s departure unfolded, the emotional insert song “Apocalypse” began to play.
The singing voice behind this insert song belongs to Paku Romi, a veteran voice actor who has starred in numerous popular works.
But there’s more to the surprise: Paku Romi is also the wife of Yamaji Kazuhiro, the voice actor for Harumage! The unexpected casting choice – featuring her specifically as the singer for a *special* ED song, and even more so, having a married couple co-star in this unique way – astonished many anime fans.
The internet erupted with excitement, with fans posting comments such as, “What a way for a husband and wife to co-star!”, “Honestly, she stole the whole episode!”, and “Who would have thought Paku-san would be cast in such a way in Yamaji-san’s episode!”
About Apocalypse Hotel
The anime “Apocalypse Hotel” is an original project co-produced by CyberAgent and CygamesPictures. The story is set on Earth long after humanity has vanished. It follows the various dramas that unfold when unknown extraterrestrial life forms visit the hotel “Gingarou” located in Ginza, Tokyo, where the hotelier robot Yachiyo (voiced by Shirasuna Saho) works.

I am Yachiyo, a hotelier robot. The guests who visit our hotel utilize our services in various ways, from single-night stays to long-term visits.
