About Date・A・Live
Date・A・Live is a boy-meets-girl story based on the light novel series written by Koushi Tachibana and published under the Fantasia Bunko label. It follows the protagonist, Itsuka Shidou, who faces Spirits—mysterious girls who appear from a neighboring world, often bringing catastrophic disasters with them. Using his unique powers, his mission is to “date them and make them dere,” aiming to save both humanity and the Spirits themselves.
Since its first TV anime adaptation in 2013, the series has gained massive popularity. The anime’s fifth season, Date・A・Live V, aired in April 2024. The voice cast features Shimazaki Nobunaga as Itsuka Shidou, Inoue Marina as the Spirit girl Yaotogi Saki, and Sanada Asami as the dangerous Spirit known as the “Worst Spirit,” Tokizaki Kurumi.
