Entertainment company Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures has opened an official website for a new anime adaptation of Akihito Yoshitomi‘s Eat-Man manga, subtitled The Over Order. The announcement came on Thursday, along with the lead cast, main staff, teaser visual, and an announcement promotional video.
Voice actor Masashi Ebara (known for Dark Gathering) is reprising his leading role as Bolt Crank.

Yoshitomi serialized the action sci-fi manga in Dengeki Comic Gao! magazine from January 1996 to July 2003. Kadokawa published the manga in 19 volumes. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English and published two volumes before dropping the license.
Yoshitomi later began a sequel manga, Eat-Man: The Main Dish, which was serialized in Shounen Sirius from May 2014 to June 2019. Kodansha published the series in six volumes.
Studio Deen adapted the original manga into a 12-episode television anime that aired in Winter 1997. The 12-episode sequel series, Eat-Man ’98, was also produced by the same studio and aired in Fall 1998.
Toshiba Digital Frontier (now Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures) released the first series on three DVD volumes in Japan, later collected in a limited-edition DVD box in 2001. In 2015, NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan released both television series in a Blu-ray box set.
Synopsis
