Re-screening Announcement
It has been decided that 『Gekijouban Cardcaptor Sakura Fuuin Sareta Card』 and the short film screened alongside it, 『Kero-chan ni Omakase!』, will be re-screened starting from July 11, 2025. This re-screening commemorates the 25th anniversary of their original theatrical release. The poster visual and trailer have also been revealed, and the list of 56 theaters nationwide that will be screening them has been announced.
About 『Gekijouban Cardcaptor Sakura Fuuin Sareta Card』
『Gekijouban Cardcaptor Sakura Fuuin Sareta Card』 is the second theatrical film for 『Cardcaptor Sakura』, originally released on July 15, 2000.
Sakura-chan and her classmates from Tomoe Elementary’s 6th Grade, Class 2, were busy practicing for a play for the Nadeshiko Festival, even throughout their summer vacation. One day, Sakura-chan unexpectedly reunites with Ri Shaoran in town, who was supposed to have returned to Hong Kong.
Sakura-chan hadn’t given a proper response to Shaoran’s confession yet and is determined to convey her feelings this time, but keeps failing. However, at the amusement park that her best friend Daidouji Tomoyo invited her to, just as she thought she could finally confess, she senses a mysterious presence. This presence is that of the Clow Cards, which she believed she had sealed away completely, and Sakura-chan’s magical power begins to vanish one after another. Thus begins Cardcaptor Sakura’s final battle against the strongest Clow Card.
About 『Kero-chan ni Omakase!』
『Kero-chan ni Omakase!』 is a short film that was screened alongside the main feature. It depicts a hilarious, chaotic slapstick action comedy where Kero-chan and Suppy rampage through Tomoe Town, all for the sake of takoyaki.
The upcoming re-screening is in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of their original theatrical debut. Just like 25 years ago, you can enjoy both films screened together! Along with the announcement, the poster visual and a trailer have been released, and the list of 56 theaters nationwide screening the films has been unveiled.
Catch the First Movie Too!
Furthermore, it has also been announced that the first theatrical film, 『Gekijouban Cardcaptor Sakura』, which was re-screened last year, along with its accompanying short film 『CLOVER』, will be re-screened again starting May 30th, also to commemorate the 25th anniversary screening of the second film. The same visitor benefits as last year’s screening will be distributed. This is a fantastic opportunity to check out both films!
