A new area themed around Miffy, “Miffy Wonder Square”, is set to open on June 21, 2025, at Huis Ten Bosch, a theme park resort located in Nagasaki Prefecture. Ahead of the grand opening, exciting details about the delicious food and delightful goods that will be available have been revealed.
Miffy is the beloved protagonist of picture books created by Dutch illustrator Dick Bruna. Born from a story about a rabbit that Bruna told his eldest son, Sic, the first Miffy picture book was published on June 21, 1955. Known affectionately as Nijntje (meaning “little rabbit”) in her native Netherlands, Miffy is a small female rabbit, and 2025 marks a special milestone – her 70th anniversary year!
Area Concept and Attractions
“Miffy Wonder Square” is designed to be a magnificent area conceptualized around “Miffy and Friends’ Dream Holiday”. Here, visitors can feel completely immersed in Miffy’s adorable world throughout the day, enjoying a heartwarming holiday experience found nowhere else in the world.
For the grand opening on June 21, the area will debut with two exciting ride-type attractions, Japan’s first permanent greeting facility where you can meet Miffy, and various dining and merchandise facilities packed with a wide array of food and goods. Looking ahead to the autumn of 2025, an indoor walk-through attraction will also be introduced, allowing guests to step right into the vibrant world of the picture books and illustrations.

Everyday Celebration Kitchen
This large restaurant is a place where you can truly sink into Miffy’s world, feeling as though you’ve stepped right out of one of her picture books. The menu features delightful items such as the “Miffy’s Kids’ Party Plate,” filled with all the yummy foods children adore. There’s also the “Miffy’s Sweets Country Parfait,” a treat enjoyed by breaking apart its crispy galette base, and the elegant “Miffy on a Cloud Financier,” noted for the smooth texture of its mousse and the rich, luxurious aroma of butter.
For drinks, you can sip on the “Miffy’s Celebration Strawberry Latte” or a refreshing “Miffy’s Celebration Soda”.
Holiday Picnic Cafe
This is a takeout specialty cafe inspired by Miffy enjoying a relaxing picnic on her holiday. Visiting this cafe offers a lovely moment that makes you feel like you’re spending time in a charming European townscape.
The “Miffy’s Sparkling Blue Sky Soda,” designed to capture the essence of a clear blue sky, is a pineapple-flavored soda adorned with adorable sparkling toppings. Meanwhile, the “Miffy’s Fluffy Sonogi Matcha Latte” utilizes Sonogi Matcha, a specialty of Nagasaki, to create the visual of a lush, grassy field.
Food Wagons
