June 9th is “Rock Day”.
This day was established based on the Japanese wordplay “Ro (6) cku (9)”.
Rock and roll was born in the United States in the 1950s and evolved into rock, spreading worldwide in the 1960s. Eventually, rock transcended the boundaries of just music and came to represent a way of life, a set of beliefs, or the very soul of a person.
In the world of anime, there are countless characters who embody such a “rock” spirit, bringing passionate energy to their stories.
Following up on last year, Anime! Anime! is conducting another reader survey titled “Who is your favorite ‘rock’ character?”. Please tell us which character and series you think fit the bill in a free-response format.
*Eligible characters are those appearing in anime works (TV broadcast, movies, streaming, OVA, etc.), games, CD series, manga, and other 2D content.
*Please limit your response to one per person.
Basic information such as gender and age is optional, and you can participate without providing it. Please feel free to join in!
The deadline is June 3rd. The survey results will be published as soon as they are compiled. Stay tuned!
