TV Anime Gachiakuta Sets Broadcast Date for July 6, 2025! Main PV and Visual Revealed, Theme Songs by Paledusk and DUSTCELL, Additional Cast Announced!

Get ready, anime fans! The TV anime adaptation of 『Gachiakuta』 is officially set to begin broadcasting on July 6, 2025, airing on the CBC/TBS network across 28 stations nationwide. To build up the excitement, the main promotional video (PV) and the key visual have been released. It’s also been announced that the opening theme will be performed by Paledusk, and the ending theme by DUSTCELL. What’s more, new additions to the cast have been revealed, with Morikawa Tomoyuki voicing Reguto and Shin Yuuki taking on the role of Jabaa. Plus, fans worldwide can look forward to advance screening events happening in 15 regions!

『Gachiakuta』 is based on the manga by Urana Kei, with graffiti design by Endou Hideyoshi, which began serialization in Koudansha’s “Shuukan Shounen Magazine” in February 2022. The story is a thrilling battle action series centered around Rudo, an orphan boy born in a slum district inhabited by the descendants of criminals. The series gained significant recognition, winning the Global Special Prize in the Comics Division at the “Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishou 2022”. Urana Kei conceived the idea, and felt that incorporating graffiti art would make it even more compelling, leading to the collaboration with graffiti artist Endou Hideyoshi.

The TV anime adaptation is being helmed by director Suganuma Fumihiko and animated by BONES FILM, known for their dynamic and high-quality productions.

The recently released main PV is a spectacular visualization of the manga’s world by BONES FILM, packed with intense battle action. The key visual, freshly drawn by Character Designer and Chief Animation Director Ishino Satoshi, brings together Rudo, Enjin, Zanka, and Riyou, showcasing their unique and expressive personalities, giving viewers a glimpse into the diverse facets of the series.

We also have exciting news regarding the theme songs! The opening theme song, “HUGs,” will be performed by Paledusk, a four-member band with a global presence. The ending theme song, “Tomoshibi,” will be by DUSTCELL, a two-person music unit. Both songs were specifically written for the anime. It has also been announced that Morikawa Tomoyuki will play Reguto, Rudo’s foster father who knows him better than anyone. Shin Yuuki joins the cast as Jabaa, a character belonging to the “Arashishi” (Stormers) organization, which is in opposition to the Cleaners. Morikawa-san and Shin-san have also shared their excitement for the series and their thoughts on their respective characters.

This massive event will be held in 15 regions worldwide, including “Anime Expo” in Los Angeles, USA, “Japan Expo” in Paris, France, and “Anime Friends” in Sao Paulo, Brazil, as well as Italy, India, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Germany, Philippines, Malaysia, Mexico, Russia, and Hong Kong.

In Japan, the event is scheduled for July 4th at Shinjuku Piccadilly in Tokyo.
