Blast from the Past: Tenshicchi no Tamagotchi Stationery & Goods Arrive!

Get ready for a nostalgic trip! A new series of stationery and miscellaneous goods featuring designs from the 1997 release, “Tenshicchi no Tamagotchi” from the beloved Tamagotchi series, is finally here. A total of 13 different items will be available starting from late May.

A Digital Pet Phenomenon

First released by Bandai on November 23, 1996, Tamagotchi quickly captured hearts with its concept of a “digital portable pet.” It caused a massive boom, especially among high school girls of the time. Its popularity transcended borders, being re-released in various versions and colors and loved in countries around the world. As of March 2025, over 98.1 million units have been sold globally (according to Bandai research).

Tamagotchi stands as one of the most iconic items of the Heisei era. Now, as the second installment of the “Tamagotchi Total Stationery” series, designs from the 1997 hit “Tenshicchi no Tamagotchi” are making a comeback.

Featuring Your Favorite Angelic Friends

This delightful collection features characters like Tenshicchi, Kuriten, Ginjiro Tenshi, and Oyaji Tenshi. A total of 13 unique items are being released.

The lineup includes the “Windowed Square Memo,” where the illustration visible through the cover window changes as you use the pages inside.

Other stationery items include “Memo Mini,” “Die-Cut Mini Letter,” and “Die-Cut Slim Sticky Notes.”

There’s also a convenient 15mm wide “Masking Tape,” freely customizable “Tile Stickers,” and “Ohajiki-Style Stickers” which are small, thick flake stickers resembling glass marbles.

Rounding out the writing supplies are a “Ballpoint Pen with Plate” and an A5 size “Clear File A5 3P” that’s easy to slip into your bag.

Beyond stationery, the goods selection is also robust! It features a “Clear Pouch” with a puffy Tamagotchi-shaped carabiner, a “Windowed Drawstring Bag,” a luxurious “Quilting Pouch” made from pearl-finish fabric with embroidered designs, and a “Quilting Vanity Pouch” perfect for storing cosmetics and other items.
