Get Ready for Feline Fury! Nyaight of the Living Cat Anime Reveals More Cast, Theme Songs, and First Look!
Big news just dropped for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of the action horror manga Nyaight of the Living Cat! Based on the work by Hawkman and Mecha-roots (which you might also know as Night of the Living Cat), the official website has unveiled a bunch of exciting details. We’re talking additional voice cast members joining the fun (or maybe the horror?), the artists and titles for the opening and ending theme songs, a cool new key visual, and the very first promotional video.
The premiere date is also set! Mark your calendars for July 8, when the feline apocalypse kicks off at 2:00 a.m. JST on TV Tokyo. It will also air on BS TV Tokyo, TV Hokkaido, and Animax shortly after.

Theme Songs Unleashed!
Get ready for some cool tunes accompanying the series. The rock band THE YELLOW MONKEY is taking charge of the opening theme song, titled “CAT CITY”. For the ending theme, WANIMA (known for their work on One Piece Movie 14: Stampede) will perform the song “Matatabi”. Both of these tracks were previewed in the first promotional video released.

Bringing this chaotic cat-filled world to life is the team at studio OLM. The anime is being helmed by Director Tomohiro Kamitani, who previously worked on shows like Mix: Meisei Story 2nd Season – Nidome no Natsu, Sora no Mukou e. Joining him as Chief Director is Takashi Miike, known for directing the live-action film Koroshiya 1.

A Look Back at the Manga
The original action horror manga by Hawkman and Mecha-roots began its serialization journey in Comic Garden magazine back in October 2020. The latest volume released in Japan was the sixth one, which shipped on February 21.
For fans outside of Japan, Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga for English release in October 2022. They released the fifth volume in English on October 22.
With the premiere date drawing closer and all these new details out, the anticipation for Nyaight of the Living Cat is certainly building!
