About Rilakkuma
From 『Rilakkuma』, the character series by San-X, comes Korilakkuma, a white bear cub who appeared out of nowhere. It seems Korilakkuma wasn’t originally acquainted with Rilakkuma, and due to a red button on their chest, they might not even be a real bear. Named by Kiiroitori, Korilakkuma is a cheerful, mischievous child who loves playing pranks. Their favorite foods include strawberries, apples, and cherries.
Currently, an anime adaptation of 『Rilakkuma』 by Production I.G. has been announced, creating buzz especially with Ikuta Rira’s new song “stay with me” chosen as the theme song.
About Sumikko Gurashi
Meanwhile, 『Sumikko Gurashi』 is a character series by San-X based on the theme, “It’s somehow calming to be in a corner.” Characters like Shirokuma, Penguin?, Tonkatsu, Neko, Tokage, and Ebi furai no shippo are a bit negative but full of unique personalities, captivating audiences of all ages, from children to adults, and celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2022.
Starting in April 2025, the TV Anime 『Sumikko Gurashi Koko ga Ochitsuku n desu』 began airing within Nippon TV’s morning program 『ZIP!』. Additionally, the 4th movie in the 『Eiga Sumikko Gurashi』 series is set to be released this autumn.
Introducing the New Items
Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma, Tokage, and Ebi furai no shippo are starring in these new items!
There’s the convenient “Knit Bag” perfect for going out, the “Mesh Pen Pouch” and “Mesh Mini Pouch” which allow you to see what’s inside, the easy-to-use “Mini Tote Bag”, and the “Ecolong” eco bag made from recycled materials. All of these are items that will be useful in your daily life.
While all items have a simple structure, the “Mini Tote Bag” and “Ecolong” are particularly noteworthy.
The “Mini Tote Bag”, made of canvas and faux leather, can comfortably fit a 500ml plastic bottle, and a plush mascot peeks out from the pocket. It’s a bag that combines cuteness with practicality.
The “Ecolong” features new designs! When you’re done using it, you can roll it up and tighten the string to transform it into a character face!
When spread out, it’s a handy size at approximately 575×370mm. When stored (rolled up), a cute face appears. They would also be fun to display side-by-side!
Release Information
Each item is scheduled to be released around early July at retailers nationwide and online shops.
