About the Source Material
The anime adapts the adventure fantasy light novel series penned by Abe Masayuki. The original story began its life online on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website back in May 2012. AlphaPolis later picked up the series for physical publication, starting in April 2013, featuring illustrations by Fuse Ryuuta. The light novel series concluded with its tenth volume, which was released in June 2018.
The story was also adapted into a manga series drawn by Miura Jun. This manga adaptation started running on AlphaPolis’ AlphaPolis Web Manga website in February 2014. The tenth volume of the manga was released in October 2022.
