About the Original Story

The anime adapts the isekai fantasy light novel written by Kubou Tadashi. The journey of the novel began online on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website back in April 2020. TO Books picked it up for publication, releasing the first part, titled Chuuou Shokoku-hen (The Central Provinces Arc), across seven volumes between March 2021 and July 2023. The story continued with the second part, Seihou Shokoku-hen (Western Provinces Arc), which started in October of the same year. The fifth volume of the Seihou Shokoku-hen arc just came out on January 15.

The illustrations for the novel have seen a few hands. The first two volumes of Chuuou Shokoku-hen featured art by Nokito, while volumes three through six had illustrations by Mebaru. Starting with volume seven and continuing into the Seihou Shokoku-hen arc, Hana Amano, known for illustrating Yuusha, Yamemasu, took over the illustrations.

Available in English

Good news for international fans! J-Novel Club has licensed both the original light novel and its manga adaptation for English release, starting in November 2023. The fourth volume of the novel was released recently on May 14, and the fourth volume of the manga went on sale on April 9.
