About Tokyo Revengers
Tokyo Revengers is a TV anime sensation based on the time-leap suspense manga Tokyo Manji Revengers by Wakui Ken. Originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2017 to 2022, the manga earned critical acclaim, winning the 44th Kodansha Manga Award in the Shonen category. The story follows Hanagaki Takemichi, a former delinquent whose glory days peaked in middle school. After his only girlfriend from middle school tragically passes away, he mysteriously time-leaps 12 years into the past, back to his middle school days, embarking on a daring quest to “revenge” his life and change the future.
The anime adaptation has captivated audiences across multiple seasons. The first season, covering the “8-3 Conflict Arc” (8-3 Kousou-hen) and “Bloody Halloween Arc” (Chi no Halloween-hen), aired from April to September 2021.
