To celebrate the upcoming broadcast of the second season of the anime Dandadan, it has been announced that the entirety of the first season will be available for free streaming and broadcast on “ABEMA”, a new future-oriented television platform, starting June 21, 2025. This offers a perfect chance to quickly revisit the unique occult battle and youth story just before the new season kicks off!
Dandadan is an occult battle and youth story based on the manga by Ryuu Tatsuyuki, serialized on “Shounen Jump+”. The story follows Ayase Momo, a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Takakura Ken, an occult fanatic known as Okarun, as they take on strange phenomena that come their way.
When the first season of the TV anime aired in October 2024, its peculiar occult-themed battles and profound storyline quickly became a hot topic, pushing the original manga’s cumulative circulation past 10 million copies. With the second season scheduled to start in July, many fans are eagerly anticipating the new battles that await Momo and Okarun.
Leading up to the start of Season 2 in July, ABEMA will offer five free broadcasts of all 12 episodes of Season 1 on June 21 and June 24. Additionally, the entire season will be available for free streaming until 11:59 PM on June 30.
Furthermore, Dandadan Season 2 will begin its free broadcast on the ABEMA Anime Channel starting July 3 at 25:00 JST (which is effectively 1:00 AM JST on Thursday morning), with new episodes airing every Thursday at the same time.
