Exciting Autumn Lineup Revealed at the Terebi Asahi New Anime Presentation!
Terebi Asahi is currently delivering a string of hit shows through its Wednesday night anime slot, “IMAnimation W (Imation Double),” and its two Saturday anime slots, “IMAnimation (Imation)” and “NUMAnimation (Numation).” On June 16, 2025, the highly anticipated October season lineup for these three blocks was unveiled for the first time globally during the “Terebi Asahi Shinnsaku Anime Happyoukai” (Terebi Asahi New Anime Presentation), streamed on the tv asahi animation YouTube channel.
The “Terebi Asahi Shinnsaku Anime Happyoukai” was hosted by the familiar faces from Terebi Asahi’s anime promotion program ‘Numa Kyoudai’: Ryouga (Choutokkyuu) and Sugata Aki (Choutokimeki Sendanbu). They were joined by legendary voice actor Namikawa Daisuke, who plays the role of the siblings’ “uncle” in the show.
Adding to the excitement, a stellar lineup of voice actors appearing in the July 2025 season anime titles also made guest appearances. Okiayu Ryoutarou from IMAnimation W’s `Jigoku Sensei Nu~be~`, Ban Taito from IMAnimation’s `Fermat no Ryouri`, and Hayami Saori from NUMAnimation’s `Ame to Kimi to` brought items they genuinely (gachi) selected for a fun gift exchange session. Naturally, they also passionately discussed the highlights of their respective works, accompanied by the latest teaser videos.
But the main event was undoubtedly the unveiling of the October season lineup during this presentation! The upcoming shows are:
- In the “IMAnimation W” slot, we have `WANDANCE`, a youthful story centered around street dance.
- The “IMAnimation” slot will feature the fantasy isekai series `Mikata ga Yowasugite Hojo Mahou ni Tesshiteita Kyuutei Mahoushi, Tsuihou sarete Saikyou wo Mezasu` (The Court Wizard Who Relied Solely on Support Magic Because His Allies Were Too Weak, Gets Banished and Aims to Become the Strongest).
- And in the “NUMAnimation” slot, get ready for the potentially agonizingly cute and slightly annoying (icha uza) youth romantic comedy `Tomodachi no Imouto ga Ore ni Dake Uzai` (My Friend’s Little Sister is Annoying Only to Me).
To introduce these exciting October shows, voice actors made special appearances via VTR. From `WANDANCE`, Hitsujimiya Hina, the voice of Wanda Hikari, joined the presentation live. Via VTR, Umeda Shuuichirou, who voices the protagonist Areku Yuuguretto in `Mikata ga Yowasugite Hojo Mahou ni Tesshiteita Kyuutei Majutsushi`, Ishiya Haruki-san (voicing Oohoshi Akiteru), Suzushiro Sayumi (voicing Kohinata Iroha), and Kusunoki Tomori (voicing Tsukinomori Mashiro) from `Tomodachi no Imouto ga Ore ni Dake Uzai` each shared their thoughts and highlights about their upcoming anime.
Furthermore, Koupen-chan, the adorable baby Koutei Penguin from the short TV anime `Koupen-chan`, which airs every Sunday morning at 8:28 AM, made a live appearance in the studio! This brought immense joy to the MCs and guests alike. Good news for fans: `Koupen-chan` will continue airing beyond July, so look forward to more cuteness!
