A Unique Collaboration: Kimetsu no Yaiba Teams Up with Japanet Takata for a Special Broadcast!
Ahead of the release of its latest theatrical feature, `Kimetsu no Yaiba` has announced a special one-night-only collaboration with the major mail-order company, Japanet Takata.
The upcoming film, `Gekijouban “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Mugenjou Hen”`, set to premiere on July 18, 2025, is the latest installment in the `Kimetsu no Yaiba` anime series. It continues the story from the `Hashira Geiko Hen` (Hashira Training Arc), which aired on Fuji TV from May to June 2024. This new film project will adapt volumes 16 through 23 of the original manga across three theatrical parts, with the film releasing in July being the first chapter.
This unexpected collaboration, initiated by the `Kimetsu no Yaiba` anime production side, is with none other than the major mail-order giant, Japanet Takata. The plan is for professionals from Japanet Takata – experts in running “real” mail-order programs – to introduce the various goods that will be sold at theaters. People are eagerly watching to see how these pros will “cook” the `Kimetsu no Yaiba` franchise in this unprecedented collaboration! How will their professional introduction and sales pitch unfold? (Please note: This is different from the usual Japanet Takata programming. The show is pre-recorded and will not feature live sales, and the merchandise will only be available for sale at theaters, not through Japanet Takata).
The recording took place at Japanet Takata’s familiar studio at their head office in Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture. Naturally, Japanet Takata employees Nakajima Kazunari and Satou Yuuka served as MCs, and `Minitai shi` Kamado Tanjirou is scheduled to appear as a guest. Adding to the fun, voice actor Hanae Natsuki, who voices Kamado Tanjirou, even covered Japanet Takata’s well-known theme song, which will be showcased during the program! It promises to be a special broadcast full of playful surprises.
The program airs on TOKYO MX TV on June 29 at 21:30. While there will be rebroadcasts on BS10 on July 1 and other dates, it is fundamentally a “one-night-only unique collaboration.”
