Get ready, Sanrio Characters fans! A delightful collaboration event, the “Sanrio Characters × GiGO Wagashi Tea Time Campaign,” is set to begin on July 12, 2025, at GiGO (Giigo) Group amusement facilities across Japan and on the online crane game platform, “GiGO ONLINE CRANE.” This special event will feature a variety of exclusive prizes adorned with the charming “Wagashi Tea Time” design, available only at GiGO locations.
The “Sanrio Characters × GiGO Wagashi Tea Time Campaign” brings together beloved Sanrio Characters including Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Hangyodon, Pochacco, and Cinnamoroll, all featuring the adorable “Wagashi Tea Time” design.
Each character is paired with a specific Japanese sweet, creating uniquely charming visuals. Hello Kitty is featured with Dorayaki, My Melody with Roll Cake, Kuromi with Mont Blanc (though technically not wagashi, it fits the tea time theme!), Hangyodon with Kusamochi, Pochacco with Kashiwamochi, and Cinnamoroll with Anmitsu. These designs showcase the characters transforming into these delicious treats or enjoying them.
Exciting Prizes Await!
Starting July 12, a range of prizes featuring this special design will be available. This first wave includes “BIG Type 1” plushies featuring Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Kuromi, as well as “Character Mascots,” “Clasp Pouches,” and “Mini Can Badges.”
Then, from July 26, the lineup expands further! Look out for “BIG Type 2” plushies featuring Hangyodon, Pochacco, and Cinnamoroll, plus “Wagashi Mascots” and even a “Japanese Tableware Set.”
