Get ready for more supernatural battles and quirky romance! The second season of the summer anime Dandadan is almost here. We have the synopsis and preview cuts for the upcoming 13th episode, titled “Daiseng Densetsu tte Kore ja n yo”, set to air on July 3, 2025.
Dandadan is based on the popular manga by Ryuu Yukinobu, serialized on Shueisha’s “Shonen Jump+” manga app, which boasts over 10 million copies in circulation. It’s an occult battle and youth story following Momo, a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult fanatic. After encountering bizarre, incomprehensible supernatural phenomena, they gain hidden powers and cursed abilities. Armed with these new powers, they challenge the encroaching oddities while also getting caught up in a fated romance.
The TV anime adaptation, starring Wakayama Shion as Momo (Ayase Momo) and Hanae Natsuki as Okarun (Takakura Ken), aired its first season from October to December 2024 and garnered significant popularity. For the second season, Yamashiro Fuuga is co-directing alongside Abel Gongora, with animation production once again handled by Science SARU.
Episode 13: “Daiseng Densetsu tte Kore ja n yo” Synopsis
Okarun and Jiji discover a hidden room completely covered in talismans on the ceiling, walls, and floor.
Just then, the doorbell rings. Thinking it’s Momo, they open the front door. Standing outside are members of the Kitou family, including Naki.
Meanwhile, Momo finds herself in a desperate situation, attacked by men from the Kitou family while she’s in an open-air bath.
