TV anime Bungou Stray Dogs is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026, and to mark the occasion, special screenings of past arcs will be held across six cities in Japan: Tokyo, Hokkaido, Kanagawa, Aichi, Osaka, and Fukuoka. The screenings will feature the “Kuro no Jidai” arc from Season 2, the “Juugosai” arc from Season 3, and the “Tanteisha Setsuritsu Hiwa” arc from Season 4.
The series, based on the manga by Asagiri Kafka and Harukawa Sango, follows characters named after real-life literary figures such as Nakajima Atsushi, Dazai Osamu, and Akutagawa Ryuunosuke, in supernatural battle action. The manga began serialization in Young Ace in 2012, and related books have surpassed 17.5 million copies in circulation. The TV anime first aired in April 2016, and has since produced five seasons totaling 61 episodes. April 2026 marks the 10th anniversary of the anime’s broadcast.
Screening Events Across Six Cities
Each screening will offer a film-style clear bookmark as an audience gift, with a different design for each arc.
Cast Talk Shows at Marunouchi Piccadilly
At the Tokyo venue, Marunouchi Piccadilly, each screening will be followed by a cast talk show. The scheduled guests are as follows:
- September 5 (Saturday) – “Kuro no Jidai” screening: Miyano Mamoru (Dazai Osamu) and Miyamoto Mitsuru (Mori Ougai)
- October 18 (Sunday) – “Juugosai” screening: Taniyama Kishou (Nakahara Chuuya) and Uchida Yuya (Rando)
- November 21 (Saturday) – “Tanteisha Setsuritsu Hiwa” screening: Kamiya Hiroshi (Edogawa Ranpo) and Koyama Rikiya (Fukuzawa Yukichi)
Uemura Yuuto (Nakajima Atsushi) will serve as MC for all three talk shows.
