“Roshidere” Season 2 Airing in 2026! Anime Original Content “Mostly Written by the Original Author,” Pre-Announced to 原作勢!? “Working Together While Respecting Each Other”
An exciting announcement has arrived! TV anime Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Alya-san is officially getting a Season 2, set to air in 2026. Along with this news, the first teaser visual has been unveiled. Known affectionately as “Roshidere”, Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Alya-san is a romantic comedy based on the light novel series by Sunsun SUN, published under KADOKAWA’s Sneaker Bunko imprint. It’s also serialized as a manga on Magazine Pocket. The series boasts a cumulative circulation of over 5.5 million copies worldwide, including digital editions.
The story revolves around Arisa Mikhailovna Kujou, or “Alya”, a beautiful girl who occasionally mutters sweet things in Russian, assuming her crush doesn’t understand. However, the protagonist, Kuze Masachika, actually has native-level Russian listening skills and knows exactly when her quiet remarks are him showing her affection (or *dereru*). The series charmingly depicts their relationship, full of moments that will make you inwardly grin. The TV anime, which aired Season 1 from July to September 2024, features the same voice cast from the original PV, with Amasaki Kouhei as Kuze Masachika and Uesaka Sumire-san as Alya-san.
Now, it’s been revealed that Season 2 of this beloved series is coming in 2026. The announcement was made today, July 3rd, coinciding with the one-year anniversary of the TV anime’s broadcast premiere. As mentioned, the first teaser visual was released alongside this exciting news. Comments from the protagonist, Kuze Masachika’s voice actor Amasaki Kouhei, the main heroine Alya-san’s voice actor Uesaka Sumire-san, and the original author Sunsun SUN were also shared.
