From the upcoming summer anime, *Wata-kun no x x ga Houkai Sunzen*, the synopsis and preview cuts for the first episode (BREAK 1), titled “Heion ga Kuzure Hajimeru Hi” (The Day the Peace Begins to Crumble), which is set to broadcast starting Friday, July 4, 2025, have been released.

*Wata-kun no x x ga Houkai Sunzen* is a “daily life collapse romantic comedy” based on the manga written by Narumi Naru, also known for *Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san*, serialized in “Gekkan Young Magazine”. The series has surpassed a cumulative total of 1.2 million copies sold. For the TV anime adaptation, Naoya Takashi is directing, and Staple Entertainment is handling the animation production. The cast includes Umeda Shuuichirou as Wata Naoto, Yano Yumika as Tachibana Satsuki, along with Ikoma Yurie, Umezawa Megumi, Nakajima Yoshiki, Yano Hinaki, and others. The story follows Wata Naoto, a second-year high school student who lives with his younger sister, Suzushiro, and their aunt, Tamayo-san. Since losing his parents early, Naoto has centered his life entirely around his sister, foregoing romance, club activities, part-time jobs, and even friendships. However, one day, his peaceful daily life takes a drastic turn when his childhood friend, Tachibana Satsuki, transfers to his school. Satsuki is the “field vandal” who years ago suddenly ruined the field they had cultivated together. The ripples caused by Satsuki stir up a storm in Naoto’s relationships, spiraling towards collapse.

Episode 1 Synopsis: “Heion ga Kuzure Hajimeru Hi” (BREAK 1)

Second-year high school student Wata Naoto was living with his younger sister, Suzushiro, and their aunt, Tamayo-san. Having lost his parents early, his sister Suzushiro is always the center of his life.

Then one day, his childhood friend, Tachibana Satsuki, appears before Naoto.

She is the “field vandal” who, six years ago, completely messed up the home garden they were supposed to be growing together.

Satsuki had been missing since then, but recently, she transferred to Naoto’s high school. Naoto is forced to confront Satsuki, who has been eerily pursuing him…

The first episode (BREAK 1), “Heion ga Kuzure Hajimeru Hi”, of the summer anime *Wata-kun no x x ga Houkai Sunzen*, will be broadcast starting July 4th (Friday) at 25:00 (effectively July 5th at 1:00 AM JST) on TOKYO MX, BS Nittere, and other channels.
