Burakku Kuroobaa TV Anime 2nd Season Officially Announced! Studio Pierrot Returns
It has been decided that a 2nd Season of the TV anime Burakku Kuroobaa will be produced. This exciting news was announced simultaneously in Japan and the US at “AnimeExpo2025” currently being held in Los Angeles, USA. Along with the announcement, “Kick Off Visuals” and a “Kick Off PV” have also been released, and a joyful comment has arrived from the original author, Tabata Yuuki.
Burakku Kuroobaa is a classic shonen fantasy series that began serialization in “Shuukan Shonen Jump” in 2015 and is currently running in “Jump GIGA”. The manga boasts a cumulative circulation of 19 million copies. The anime adaptation aired on television from 2017 to 2021 and has since garnered passionate support overseas, ranking number 1 in viewership in 87 countries and regions worldwide.
In 2023, the film Burakku Kuroobaa: Mahou Tei no Ken was released and streamed worldwide on Netflix, drawing attention not just in Japan but globally as a prime example of a shonen anime depicting powerful battle scenes and the strong bonds and growth of its unique characters.
The 2nd Season, announced simultaneously in Japan and the US, will continue to be produced by Studio Pierrot, the studio behind the previous TV anime series and the movie. The “Kick Off Visuals” released simultaneously feature two design patterns, one for Japan and one for global audiences. The “Kick Off PV” is a dynamic countdown video that combines footage and famous lines from the anime series history since its start in 2017. At the end of the PV, the Kick Off Visual is presented symbolically, with the powerful phrase “Shin Shou, Totsunyuu.” (“New Chapter, Beginning.”) raising expectations and building anticipation for what’s to come.

Streaming Information
Additionally, accompanying the decision to produce the 2nd Season, it was also revealed that all 171 episodes of the TV anime Burakku Kuroobaa, which aired from 2017 to 2021, will be available for streaming on TVer starting from 18:00 on July 22.
