The `Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji LOVE` series, based on a popular game software, has seen four seasons of TV anime broadcast starting in 2011, followed by the release of two theatrical anime films since 2019. The latest theatrical film, `Gekijouban Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ TABOO NIGHT XXXX`, depicts the “new ultimate destination (utopia)” for the idol group QUARTET NIGHT, comprised of the four members: Kotobuki Reiiji, Kurosaki Ranmaru, Mikaze Ai, and Camus. Following in the footsteps of `Maji LOVE Kingdom` and `Starish Tours`, this film is a fully live animation and completely original work that has been enjoyable in theaters since its opening on May 9th in 135 locations nationwide.

This film reached a remarkable milestone, surpassing 800,000 attendees as of July 5th. By July 8th, after 60 days in theaters, it had achieved 854,267 attendees and grossed 1,432,236,290 yen in box office revenue.
The full live animation of the movie’s main feature allows audiences to enjoy QUARTET NIGHT’s vocals more distinctly from the front seats, while the rear seats offer a heightened sense of the live atmosphere. The Live Screenings, where viewers can bring in concert lights and enjoy the main feature as if attending a live concert, along with the weekly changing MC and narration specific to each tour area, have also garnered significant attention from fans.
4DX Release and Theater Expansion
Exciting news for fans! Starting July 18th, the film will be released in a new screening format, 4DX, and its theatrical run will be expanded. 4D screenings refer to an immersive, attraction-style viewing experience where sensory special effects like vibration, smoke, wind, and water splashes are deployed in sync with the scenes, allowing viewers to feel as though they have stepped into the world of the film.
In this film, the 4DX experience will utilize various environmental effects such as confetti (Snow), wind (Fan), and scent (Scent) to express the concept of each song, further enhancing the beautiful camera work that captures QUARTET NIGHT.
