Toumei Otoko to Ningen Onna Anime Unveils Cast, Staff, and Sets 2026 Premiere
Get ready for an enchanting romance! The official website for the television anime adaptation of Iwatobineko’s manga, Toumei Otoko to Ningen Onna: Sonouchi Fuufu ni Naru Futari, recently shared some exciting updates. We’ve now learned who will be bringing the main characters to life, the talented team working behind the scenes, and unfortunately, there’s been a small change to the premiere timeline. While originally slated for 2025, the anime is now planned to arrive in 2026.
You might also know the manga by its English title, The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife, but for the anime adaptation, we’ll be following the original Japanese naming.

Mitsuho Seta has contributed as a key animator on notable films like Ryuu to Sobakasu no Hime. Kairi Unabara also has key animation credits, including on Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn. Nozomi Nakatani has worked as Sound Director for series such as One Room and Hiatari Futsuu, Tenshi-tsuki., while Ruka Kawada composed music for Koori Zokusei Danshi to Cool na Douryou Joshi.
About the Original Manga
The story originates from Iwatobineko’s romantic comedy manga. It initially began its run as a webcomic posted on the author’s Twitter account (now known as X) back in March 2021. The publisher Futabasha picked up the series in September of the same year, with the first physical volume being published in November 2021. Fans in Japan can look forward to the seventh volume hitting shelves soon, scheduled for July 14.
English Release Details
For readers outside of Japan, Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga for English publication in July 2022. They have been steadily releasing volumes, with the fifth volume already available since March 4. The next installment, the sixth volume, is planned to go on sale on December 30.
